First steps
An arena from the admin menu, a first solo session, and a first duel.
Everything below happens in menus. The only thing typed is the arena's id.
Creating an arena
Open the admin menu
/totemtraineradmin (or /ttadmin) with exyliatotemtrainer.admin. The overview shows how
many arenas exist and how many are ready.
Create it
Arenas → the create button. Type a short id such as totem1; it is lowercased and refused if it
already exists. The arena appears enabled, with no spawns yet.
Name it
On the arena screen, Display name asks for what players see. Colours are allowed, 64 characters at most.
Set both spawns
Click Spawn A, then stand where it goes; the wizard stores your position. Do the same for Spawn B. Player A of a duel appears at spawn A and player B at spawn B; solo sessions use spawn A.
Check it reads ready
An arena is ready when it is enabled and both spawns are set in loaded worlds. The arena list shows every arena as ready or incomplete.
Solo training works with no arena at all: the player trains where they stand. Duels are the ones that need a ready arena; without one the request is answered with "No arena is ready".
A first solo session
Open the menu
/totem opens the main menu. Click Solo.
Pick a speed
The bottom row lists the intervals from training.ticks, 25 down to 5 ticks by default. The
selected one is remembered for the next time.
Pick a mode
Each mode row shows what it does and your best at the selected speed. Clicking starts the session: the inventory is saved and cleared, the totems are handed out, and a countdown runs.
Punch the air to start now
A swing during the countdown skips it. Then swap the next totem in before every hit, with F,
the hotbar, or the inventory.
/totem train <mode> [ticks] does the same without the menu, and /totem leave ends a session.
A first duel
Pick an opponent
/totem → Duel lists everyone online, free players first; busy ones cannot be clicked.
Pick the settings
On the opponent's screen choose a speed and a best-of format, then click a mode. That click sends the request.
The other side accepts
They receive a line with clickable Accept and Decline buttons, or run /totem accept.
The request expires after match.duel-request-expiry seconds, 30 by default.
Play the rounds
Both players are teleported, a countdown runs (punch the air once each to start at once), and
the round goes to whoever keeps a totem in hand. The first to n/2 + 1 rounds wins the series.
/totem duel <player> [mode] [ticks] [bestOf] sends a request straight from the command line.
