Modules

Restrictions

Enchantment caps per world or region, and items that cannot be used or crafted where you say.

Two modules take things away rather than giving them. Both are written as rules in a file, both scope by world and by WorldGuard region, and both have a single bypass node.

Enchantments

modules/enchantments/rules.yml caps enchantment levels. The header of the generated file lists every enchantment on your server, split into the two modes below.

rules:
  sharpness:
    mode: EFFECT
    limits:
      global:
        max: 3
        global: true
      arena:
        max: 0
        worlds: [pvp]
        regions: ["world:spawn"]
    block:
      effect: true
      enchant-table: true
      anvil: true
      villager: true
      loot: true
KeyWhat it does
modeEFFECT neutralises the enchantment's effect and leaves the item alone; STRIP removes it from the item
limits.<name>.maxThe ceiling. 0 removes the enchantment entirely
limits.<name>.globalApplies everywhere
limits.<name>.worldsWorlds it applies in
limits.<name>.regionsRegions, as world:id. A bare id matches that id in every world
block.effectWhether the effect is blocked at all. Default true
block.enchant-table, anvil, villager, lootWhere the enchantment may not be obtained

When several scopes match a player, the lowest max wins. For a combat enchantment, the location that decides is the victim's.

`EFFECT` only works for twenty-one enchantments

Sharpness, Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Impaling, Knockback, Fire Aspect, Sweeping Edge, Looting, Power, Punch, Flame, Fortune, Silk Touch, Thorns, Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection, Feather Falling, Unbreaking and Mending. Anything else has to use STRIP — and the plugin warns on the console when a rule gets this wrong.

SettingDefaultWhat it does
strip-scan-ticks10How often inventories are scanned in STRIP mode
notify-blockedtrueWhether the player is told

exyliasurvivalcore.enchantments.bypass ignores every rule. A legacy disabled: block is still read as a limit of 0. If regions are named and WorldGuard is absent, the plugin warns at boot.

Blocked items

modules/blocked-items/rules.yml stops items being used or crafted. There is no config.yml for this module — the rules file is all of it.

rules:
  no-elytra:
    items: [ELYTRA]
    disabled:
      global: false
      worlds: [survival]
      regions: ["world:spawn"]
    block:
      use: true
      craft: false

items takes material names, or a tag with a # — #swords covers every sword without listing them.

KeyDefaultWhat it covers
block.usetruePlacing, breaking, hitting, shooting, drinking, eating, throwing, raising a shield, gliding with an elytra, totems, wearing armour, buckets, spawn eggs and boats
block.craftfalseCrafting the item at all

The location that decides is the player's. exyliasurvivalcore.blockeditems.bypass ignores every rule.

Both files are free-form

Unlike the settings files, these two are written once with a header and never rewritten, so nothing you add is pruned and nothing you delete comes back. /sc reload re-reads them.
