Events and funnels

Custom events your own plugins send, the Events page that charts them, and funnels built from custom and agent events.

Events

Anything your own plugins track with the agent's API: crates opened, quests finished, duels won. One line in a plugin is enough:

ExyliaAnalytics.track(player.getUniqueId(), "crate_open", Map.of("crate", "legendary"));

The rules, the threading and a full example are on the API page.

On the Events page, pick an event; the list shows each one with how often it fired, how many players fired it and when it was last seen.

SectionShows
The event over timeTimes it fired per period, and how many different players fired it.
By propertyFor each property the event carries, its most common values with events and players per value. An event sent without properties has no breakdown.

Events show up within a minute of being sent. Custom events are read from the raw event log, which is kept for 90 days, and they are dropped at the agent when the Custom events module is off.

Funnels

A funnel is an ordered list of events a player is expected to walk through — joined, opened the shop, bought a rank — and a window they have to do it in. Each step shows how many players got that far and how many were lost on the way.

Create the funnel

On the Funnels page, give it a name (up to 40 characters) and a window: 1, 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours, 7 days or 30 days.

Add the steps

On the funnel's own page, add up to 8 steps from the events seen in the selected range, and reorder or remove them. A step is a custom event's name or one of the agent's own event types, such as session.start, vote.cast or rank.add.

Read it

A funnel counts nothing until it has two steps.

MetricDefinition
EnteredPlayers who sent the first step in the range.
CompletedPlayers who then sent every step, in order, within the window of their first step.
ConversionCompleted ÷ entered.
Step ratePlayers who reached a step ÷ players who reached the one before it.
Median timeMedian time from first step to last, over the players who finished.

Events that are not steps never break the chain. Like the Events page, funnels read the raw event log, so they never look back more than 90 days.

Creating, editing and deleting funnels needs Create campaigns, map hostnames and edit funnels (manage_campaigns). Deleting a funnel deletes no event data.
