Configuring

Kits

The kit creator, how many slots a player gets, the favourite, and the predefined kits an admin writes for them to copy.

A kit is a whole inventory a player saved: storage, armour and offhand. It is stored per player, in a numbered slot, and it is what dresses them the moment they enter a sandbox world.

How many slots

The number of slots is a permission tier. The plugin walks down from exyliasandbox.max_kits.100 to exyliasandbox.max_kits.1 and takes the first node the player holds; a player holding none gets one. The highest node wins, so grant exactly one per group.

The limit is enforced in three places: the kit creator's title counter, + NEW KIT (which refuses with kit-creator.max-kits-reached when every slot in 1..max is taken), and the copy screen, which draws exactly that many rows.

The kit creator

/kitcreator opens the slot grid. Its title shows <used>/<max>.

ActionWhat it does
+ NEW KITTakes the first free slot, teleports the player to the kit-creator room and empties their inventory
A kit rowOpens Kit options for that slot
PREDEFINED KITSThe admin templates, to copy into a slot

Inside the creator the player's real inventory is held aside and given back when they leave. The kit room opens by itself five ticks after entering, and /kitroom reopens it.

/kitsave writes whatever they are wearing and carrying into the slot they entered. Nothing is saved until they run it.

The creator is a mode, not a menu

While in the kit creator a player cannot /rtp, join a queue, /back, /rekit, use /tpa, be picked up by a teleport pad, or /leavesandbox. Disconnecting releases the claim and gives their inventory back.

Kit options

Clicking a saved kit opens a small screen for that slot.

DeleteRemoves the row

The preview in the middle shows the kit as it will be applied.

The favourite is a toggle, and only one kit can hold it

Setting a favourite clears the star from every other kit of that player. Clicking the star on the current favourite turns it off and leaves them with none — which is what a teleport pad refuses on. The first kit a player ever saves becomes their favourite automatically.

Which kit is used, when

Any of those from inside a sandbox worldThe kit they are already wearing
A teleport padThe favourite, and nothing else
/rekitThe kit they are already wearing, re-applied

Only kits with contents are listed. An empty slot is not offered anywhere.

Predefined kits

A predefined kit is an admin-built template, stored server-wide with an id, a name, a description and an icon. Players never wear one directly: they copy it into one of their own slots.

/predefinedkits and the PREDEFINED KITS button both open the list. Clicking a template shows the player's own slots — green and empty, or amber and glowing with the kit already there and "Click to overwrite it". Clicking a slot copies the template in.

/predefinedkits <kit> <slot> does the same in one line, skipping both screens.

Admins build them at /sandbox → PREDEFINED KITS:

What is stored

One row per kit in sandbox_player_kits, keyed <uuid>:<slot>, holding the storage contents, the armour, the offhand, the name, the icon and the favourite flag. Predefined kits are the same shape in sandbox_predefined_kits, keyed by their slug.

Kits are cached per player and written back when they disconnect. The active slot a player is wearing is not stored: a restart leaves nobody wearing anything.
