Teleport pads
A cuboid in the lobby with a hologram, a boss bar and a countdown that sends everybody standing on it into a sandbox world.
A teleport pad is a box you draw somewhere in the lobby. Players stand in it, a countdown runs, and when it reaches zero everybody standing there is sent into a sandbox world together, spread on a circle and facing the middle.
It is the no-command entry: a player who has a favourite kit never has to type anything.
What a pad does while somebody stands on it
- A hologram floats over its centre, refreshed once a second, showing the players on the pad, the target world, the pad's name and the time left.
- A boss bar and a title are shown to each occupant, both counting the same seconds down.
- Protection: building and breaking are refused inside the box, PvP is allowed. Creative-mode players are not stopped.
Who is taken
At zero, everybody standing in the box is sent, except:
| Skipped | Why |
|---|---|
| Players in the kit creator | They are mid-build |
| Players already claimed by another activity | Busy elsewhere in the suite |
| Players with no favourite kit | Told tp-region.no-favorite-kit and left standing |
There is no kit menu in this flow. The favourite is the only kit a pad will use.
The destination is the pad's target world if it is set and READY; otherwise a random READY world.
Everybody lands on a circle of spreadRadius blocks around one safe location, each turned to face the
centre.
Building one
/sandbox → TP REGIONS.
Create it
CREATE TP REGION asks for a name in chat, then hands you a selection wand. Click the two opposite corners of the box.
Set the target
TARGET WORLD cycles Random and then every configured world id. Random picks a READY world
each time the countdown fires.
Set the interval
INTERVAL takes a duration typed in chat — 30s, 5m, 1h30m. The minimum is five seconds. A
new pad starts at thirty.
Set the spread
SPREAD RADIUS is the radius of the circle players land on. Left-click adds one, right-click removes one, with a floor of one. A new pad starts at three.
Save
SAVE REGION writes the row. Leaving with the back button discards everything.
EDIT BOUNDS redraws the box on an existing pad. If another plugin is already holding a block
selector for you, it refuses with tp-region.selection-busy.
Right-clicking a pad in the list, and the last slot of the pad editor, both delete it immediately. There is no confirmation screen on either.
The visuals
config.yml → tp-region holds all three, and each is an ordinary effect block, so a sound or a
particle can be added to any of them.
| Key | What it is |
|---|---|
bossbar | The bar each occupant sees. Colour, overlay and text are yours |
countdown-title | The title and subtitle, re-sent every second |
hologram | The floating text: lines, scale, billboard, view distance, offsets and a refresh interval |
Inside these three, %region% is the pad's name, %world% the target world, %time% the seconds
left, and %total_players% the number of players on that pad — not the number in the sandbox
worlds, which is what the placeholder of the same shape means everywhere else.
tp-region.hologram.config.update-interval is a tick count, not seconds. The shipped 20 is once a
second.
What is stored
One row per pad in sandbox_tp_regions: a twelve-character id, the display name, the interval in
seconds, the target world id (empty means random), the spread radius, the world the box is in and its
six coordinates.
The pad registers itself with ExyliaLib's region registry, which is how it knows when somebody walks in or out. Players already standing inside when the plugin loads are counted as having entered.
