Modules

AFK

Who is at the keyboard and who is not, read rather than ticked.

AFK answers one question — is this player actually there — and lets the rest of the plugin act on it. Random teleport stops dropping people onto empty bodies, and the staff sidebar can say how much of the player count is real.

Module id afk, switch modules.afk, files under modules/afk/.

There is no command and no permission. Nothing to toggle: the answer is a read, not a state a player sets.

How idle is measured

One timestamp per online player. Moving, interacting, chatting or typing a command marks them as being at the keyboard; the answer is the distance between now and the last of those. Nothing runs on a timer, so the cost of this module does not grow with the player count.

KeyDefaultWhat it means
after-seconds300Seconds without moving, interacting, chatting or typing a command before a player counts as AFK.

A player who just joined is at the keyboard, whatever they did last session. The timestamp is written at most once a second per player: walking changes block several times a second, and the threshold is in seconds, so a second of slack costs nothing.

Placeholders

PlaceholderWhat it answers
%staff_afk_count%How many players are idle right now.
%staff_afk_is%Whether the viewer is idle.

Both resolve off the main thread, which is what lets the staff sidebar read them on its own refresh.

What reads it

The staff sidebar shows %staff_afk_count% out of the box. Random teleport skips idle players when random-skip-afk is on in modules/teleport/config.yml — that key needs this module: with it off, nobody is skipped for being idle.
