First steps
From an empty server to a playable ranked queue: one category, one kit, one arena.
Everything is built from the admin menu. /epc opens it; there are no setup commands to memorise.
1. A category
Kits are grouped into categories, and every player-facing screen — the queue, duels, parties, stats, history — opens on the category list first. You need at least one.
/epc → Manage Kits → Categories → create. You are asked for an id in chat, then a display
name.
2. A kit
Manage Kits → All Kits → create. The kit setup screen has ten buttons:
| Button | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Name / Icon / Description | How it looks in menus |
| Status | Enabled. A disabled kit is invisible everywhere. |
| Categories | Which categories list it |
| Compatible arenas | Which arenas it may be played in |
| Loadout | The items. Opens your inventory — arrange it and close. |
| Kit rules | 40+ toggles and numbers |
| Playability & ranked | Party FFA, party split, party duel, duel, queue, ranked |
| Priority | Sort order in menus |
It is a kit that hands the player nothing. Useful for a sumo or a boxing kit where the arena and the rules do all the work.
3. An arena
Manage Arenas → create. You are asked for an id and a display name, then dropped into the arena setup screen.
Spawn 1 and Spawn 2
Where the two sides start. Both are required.
Playable region
A worldedit-style selection wizard. This is the area a match happens in — stepping outside it kills you. Its schematic is saved as soon as you set it.
Copy region
A second selection, larger than the playable one: it is what a clone is pasted from, so it should include the walls, the floor and anything else the arena needs to look right. Its schematic is saved as soon as you set it.
Schematic
The button re-saves both files. Use it after you rebuild anything inside the regions — a regeneration restores what was saved, not what is standing.
Enable it
Status. The arena refuses to enable while anything is missing, and tells you which: Spawn 1, Spawn 2, Playable Region, Copy Region, Copy Schematic, Playable Schematic.
Optional on the same screen: Spectator spawn, Party FFA spawn, Extra regions, Spawn protection radius, Extra region protection radius, and a Kits shortcut that links kits from the arena's side instead of the kit's.
4. Link them, enable them
A kit is playable in an arena when the arena's id is in the kit's compatible arenas list. Set it from either side; it is one list, stored on the kit.
Then enable both. A match needs an enabled kit and at least one enabled, fully configured arena in its compatible list.
5. Try it
Put yourself in the lobby and run /queue. Pick the category, pick the kit, and get a second player
in — or, quicker, use /duel <player> which skips matchmaking entirely.
The anti-boost check refuses to match two players from the same address, and it is on by default.
When testing alone, either use two real connections or set elo-security.same-ip-protection to
false while you work.
