Kit editor
How players save their own loadouts, how many they get, and which one a match hands them.
The kit editor lets a player rearrange the kit's own items into a named, saved loadout. It never adds anything — it is the same items in a different order, which is the whole point on a practice server.
Using it
/kiteditor (or /ke, or the lobby hotbar item) opens the category list, then the kits in it, then
that kit's slots.
Picking a slot teleports the player to the kit editor spawn, puts them in adventure mode, hands them the slot's items (or the kit's defaults for a new slot), and waits. Three subcommands finish the session:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/ke save | Captures the inventory into the slot and returns to the lobby |
/ke cancel | Discards the changes and returns to the lobby |
/ke reset | Puts the kit's default items back, without leaving |
/epc → Data Management → Set Kit Editor Spawn. Without it the player edits wherever they
were standing, which on a busy lobby is not private.
Slots
A slot is a row in practice_player_kits: a player, a kit, an index, a name, an icon and 41 item
slots. Slots are created, renamed, re-iconed and deleted from the slots screen.
How many a player may have is a permission:
exyliapractice.kits.max_slots.<n>The plugin counts down from 100 and takes the first node the player has, so max_slots.5 on top of
max_slots.1 is an upgrade rather than a conflict. With no node at all the player still gets one
slot — the editor is usable by everybody by default, and the permission only sells more.
Which slot a match uses
This is decided when the kit is handed out, and it depends on how many slots the player has for that kit:
| Slots saved | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0 | The kit's own default loadout |
| 1 | That slot, silently |
| 2 or more | A slot picker menu opens, and the player chooses |
If the countdown ends before they have chosen, the first slot is used. Nobody is left with an empty inventory because they were reading the menu.
Where it cannot be used
The editor claims the player, which means they cannot be queued, in a match, spectating or inside a
PvP zone while editing — and no other plugin can take them either. /ke refuses with a message when
the player is not free.
Clearing loadouts
From /epc → Data Management:
| Action | Scope |
|---|---|
| Clear kit customizations | Every player's slots for one kit |
| Clear all customizations | Every player's slots for every kit |
Both are irreversible and both ask for confirmation first.
