Kits

Special conditions

Eight triggers, three actions, and the gamemodes you can build by combining them.

A special condition is a rule of the form when this happens to a player, do that. They live on the kit, under /epc → Manage Kits → a kit → Kit rules → Special conditions.

The eight triggers

TriggerFires when the player
TOUCH_WATERstands in water
TOUCH_LAVAstands in lava
TOUCH_END_GATEWAYstands in an end gateway
TOUCH_END_PORTALstands in an end portal
TOUCH_NETHER_PORTALstands in a nether portal
STEP_ON_GOLD_PRESSURE_PLATEsteps on a light weighted pressure plate
FALL_INTO_VOIDfalls into the void
ENTER_FAR_AWAY_EXTRA_REGIONenters the extra region farthest from their spawn

All the block triggers are checked on the block the player's feet are in, and only when they change block — standing still in lava fires once, not every tick.

The three actions

ActionWhat happens
ADD_POINTThe player gains a point. If that reaches points-to-win, they win the round or the match.
LOSS_POINTThe player loses a point.
DEATHThe player is eliminated — or, with iron-plate-checkpoints on and a checkpoint set, healed and sent back to it with 2 seconds of invulnerability instead.

A trigger can carry several actions; each is applied in the order they were toggled on.

What you can build with them

Sumo

TOUCH_WATER → DEATH. Kit with no items, PvP on, arena is a platform over water.

Capture

ENTER_FAR_AWAY_EXTRA_REGION → ADD_POINT, two extra regions, points-to-win: 3.

Parkour race

FALL_INTO_VOID → DEATH with iron-plate-checkpoints on, so a fall returns you to the last heavy plate. STEP_ON_GOLD_PRESSURE_PLATE → ADD_POINT at the finish.

Bridge

FALL_INTO_VOID → DEATH, ENTER_FAR_AWAY_EXTRA_REGION → ADD_POINT, build on, regenerate-after-point on.

Points can go below zero

LOSS_POINT subtracts without a floor, so a player who keeps triggering it shows a negative score on the sidebar. It costs them nothing beyond the display — a winner is only resolved from a positive score — but pair LOSS_POINT with something that ends the round if you want it to be decisive.

Interaction with revives

An eliminated player in a kit with revive-time above zero spectates for that many seconds and comes back at their spawn, rather than ending the match. That is what makes a DEATH condition a penalty instead of a loss, and it is how a bridge or a parkour kit runs to a point total rather than to a single mistake.
