DTR

Deaths till raidable: the pool, the freeze, the regeneration tick, and what going below zero opens up.

DTR is the number that decides whether a clan's land is protected. It falls when members die, freezes for a while after each death, regenerates on a timer, and once it goes negative the clan is raidable.

The maximum

max DTR = max(1.0, member count ÷ members-per-point)

With members-per-point: 3, a three-member clan has a maximum of 1.0, a nine-member clan 3.0, and a thirty-member clan 10.0. A clan smaller than the divisor still gets 1.0 — never less.

The maximum moves with the roster. Recruiting raises the ceiling; losing members lowers it, and a clan sitting above its new maximum simply stops regenerating.

Losing it

Every member death costs death-loss (0.9) and freezes regeneration for frozen-duration-seconds (600 — ten minutes). Another death restarts the freeze from zero rather than extending it.

The floor is min-dtr, -1.0 by default: a clan cannot be pushed further negative than that, so the time to recover from a raid is bounded no matter how badly it went.

Every death broadcasts to the clan who died and where the pool now stands, coloured green at maximum, amber below it and red below zero.

dtr:
  no-loss-worlds: []
  death-loss: 0.9
  members-per-point: 3
  frozen-duration-seconds: 600
  regen-amount: 0.1
  regen-interval-seconds: 45
  min-dtr: -1.0
  color-normal: "&a"
  color-regenerating: "&e"
  color-frozen: "&b"
  color-raidable: "&c"

no-loss-worlds is the escape hatch: a death in a world listed there costs nothing. Put the lobby, the event world and the practice world in it.

Regaining it

A task runs every regen-interval-seconds (45 s) and adds regen-amount (0.1) to every clan that is not frozen and not already at its maximum. With the defaults that is 0.133 DTR per minute, so undoing a single death — 0.9 — takes nine ticks of the task, about 6 minutes 45 seconds, and that only starts once the ten-minute freeze has run out. Call it seventeen minutes from the death to being whole again.

The four states

StateWhenDefault colour
FROZENThe freeze from the last death has not expired&b
RAIDABLEDTR is below zero and the freeze has expired&c
REGENERATINGDTR is above zero but below the maximum&e
NORMALDTR is at the maximum&a

FROZEN is checked first, so a clan that has just been pushed negative reads FROZEN for ten minutes before it reads RAIDABLE — even though its claim is already open, which is decided by the number being below zero and not by the state label.

The menus also print a detail line: how long until the freeze lifts, or an estimate of how long until the pool is full again.

Going raidable

Crossing from zero or above to below zero, once:

  • The clan loses exp-actions.raided.exp-loss — 50 EXP by default.
  • Its claim stops protecting anything. Under BUILTIN every build, door and container check passes for everybody; under WORLDGUARD the region's BUILD flag is set to ALLOW.
  • Explosions stop being filtered out of the claim.

Crossing back above zero puts all of it back on the next regeneration tick.

What DTR gates

Two operations are refused unless the clan's state is NORMAL:

OperationMessage
/clan disbanderrors.clan-raidable
/clan unclaimerrors.dtr-not-normal

/clan reclaim has its own check and is refused specifically while raidable. A clan cannot drop its land, redraw it or dissolve itself to escape a raid it is losing.

Admin

/clanadmin setdtr <clan> <SET|ADD|REMOVE> <value>

Clamped at the clan's current maximum, so it cannot be used to hand out more DTR than the roster supports. There is no lower clamp: SET -50 goes straight through, well past min-dtr.

It also clears the freeze, so a clan set back to a positive number regenerates from the next tick instead of waiting out freeze-seconds.

It does not tell WorldGuard

Un-raiding a clan by hand does not run the raidable change, so a WorldGuard region left open by a raid keeps its BUILD=ALLOW until the next restart. In the plugin's own protection mode there is nothing to undo.

Turning it off

With modules.dtr: false there is no regeneration task, no freeze, no death broadcast and no raidable state — which means no claim ever opens. Territory becomes permanent, and disband and unclaim lose their state check. If your server has claims, it almost certainly wants DTR too.

The backfill runs on every start

Every start with the module on, each clan sitting at exactly 0.0 with no freeze is given its maximum and the count is logged. It is what catches clans created while the module was off — but it is not a one-off migration, so a clan you deliberately leave at 0.0 with /clanadmin setdtr is topped back up the next time the server boots.
