Introduction
What ExyliaClans is: player-written ranks, rectangular land claims, deaths till raidable, and a recruitment board that works in both directions.
ExyliaClans is a clan plugin for a server where clans fight each other. A player types /clan create,
gets a clan with three ranks and a bank, buys a rectangle of land with the bank's money, and from then
on their territory is only as safe as their DTR — the pool that drains every time a member dies and,
once it goes negative, opens the claim to everybody.
It is twelve modules, thirty-seven menu screens, thirteen database tables and four commands, and
every one of the modules can be switched off in config.yml without touching the rest.
What it does
Every clan creates its own ranks, names them, weights them and ticks the 24 permissions one by one.
Land claimsOne rectangle per clan, selected with a tool, paid for from the bank, enforced by WorldGuard or by the plugin itself.
Deaths till raidableA clan that dies enough loses the protection on its own claim until the pool regenerates.
LevelsKills earn EXP, deaths and raids cost it, and each level raises the member, ally and rival caps.
Allies and rivalsAlliances are mutual and requested; rivalries are one-sided, and killing one is worth double EXP.
Recruitment, both waysPlayers advertise themselves with /lfc; clans advertise for members with /lfp and read the
applications in a menu.
Focus an enemy, camp a rival's base, drop a rally, or call every member to your feet.
Chat and mailClan chat, ally chat, two one-character shortcuts, and a persistent clan mailbox.
How a clan actually goes
Created
/clan create <name> costs nothing and makes the clan with the three ranks written in
default-roles. The founder gets the heaviest one and is the leader; the leader passes every
permission check without owning a rank that grants it.
Funded
Members /clan deposit into the bank out of their own balance. The bank is the only thing land is
ever bought with, so a clan with no economy plugin has no claims either.
Claimed
/clan claim hands out a golden hoe. Left click sets one corner, right click the other, shift +
click in the air pays and confirms. The price is base-price plus price-per-block per block of
the rectangle.
Settled
/clan sethome only works standing inside the clan's own claim. The home becomes a client waypoint
for every member, and for allies too.
Fought
Every member death costs the clan death-loss DTR and freezes regeneration for ten minutes. A rival
kill is worth double EXP. /clan focus <player> paints one enemy red and glowing for the whole clan.
Raided
Below zero DTR the clan is raidable: the claim stops protecting anything, explosions work inside it, and the clan loses 50 EXP. It stays that way until the pool regenerates past zero.
Requirements
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Server | Paper 1.21 or newer. Folia-supported. |
| Java | 21 |
| Required | packetevents, plus ExyliaLib — declared soft, needed all the same |
| Optional | PlaceholderAPI, WorldGuard, TAB, an economy plugin, Worlds, Apollo, FeatherServerAPI |
It is declared under depend, not softdepend: without it the server will not enable the plugin at
all. Four things are built on it — the friend/enemy colouring, the focus glow, the claim selection tool
and the /clan map pillars.
What it does not do
There are no scheduled wars, no war declarations with a start time, and no clan-versus-clan tournament bracket. What there is is a raid window that a clan opens by dying, which is what DTR is.
It also does not own the friend/enemy question for the rest of the server. It answers it: the plugin registers a clan bridge with ExyliaLib, so an ExyliaFFA arena's friendly fire, an ExyliaCapture team check and an ExyliaPracticeCore party check all agree with the clan a player is actually in, without any of them being configured to.
