Clan wars
Two clans, an equal number of fighters, one arena: declaring, rosters, the three rule sets, spectators, and setting up arenas and kits.
A clan war is a fight between two clans with the same number of players on each side, in an arena the server has prepared. The arena is reset after every war, nothing a fighter does inside it touches the clan's DTR, stats or EXP, and the result is kept as a win, loss or draw per clan.
Wars are the wars module and ship switched on. They need at least one
arena before anybody can fight — see Setting up arenas.
Declaring a war
/clan war
/clan war declare <clan>
/clan war accept <clan>
/clan war decline <clan>/clan war opens the clan's war hub: Declare war, War requests and Active wars. Declaring,
accepting and declining need the MANAGE_WARS rank permission, which the shipped leader and officer
ranks have — see Roles.
/clan war declare opens the setup screen, where the declaring side picks:
| Setting | Choices |
|---|---|
| Team size | From min-team-size to max-team-size; starts at 3 |
| Rules | Server kit, own items · friendly, or own items · real loss |
| Kit | One of the server's war kits, when the rules use a kit |
| Arena | A specific one, or random |
| Spectators | Allowed, or members of the two clans only |
| Fighters | Exactly as many online members as the team size |
Sending it posts a request to every member of the other clan with MANAGE_WARS, with clickable
accept and decline buttons. Accepting opens the same roster screen for the defending side; once
they pick their fighters the war starts. A request expires after request-expire-seconds, and a clan
has to wait declare-cooldown-seconds before declaring again.
A fighter has to be online, in the clan, not in another war or session, not combat-tagged and alive when the request is sent and again when it is accepted.
The three rule sets
| Rules | What fighters use | What they lose |
|---|---|---|
| Server kit | The kit chosen in setup, the same for everybody. Effects are cleared. | Nothing: their own inventory is put away and given back after. |
| Own items · friendly | Their own inventory. | Nothing: it is given back as it was. |
| Own items · real loss | Their own inventory. | Everything they die with drops in the arena. The survivors get loot-seconds to pick it up. |
Kit mode is the default when the server has at least one kit; with no kits a new war starts as friendly.
The fight
Everyone is healed and teleported to their team's spawn, then frozen for countdown-seconds. When the
fight starts:
- Only enemy fighters can hurt each other. Teammates, spectators and outsiders cannot.
- Blocks can be placed and broken only inside the arena bounds, and the arena is regenerated from its schematic when the war ends.
- Leaving the arena bounds puts you back at your spawn.
- Commands are blocked except
/clan war leaveand the ones inallowed-commands. - A fighter who dies, disconnects or types
/clan war leaveis eliminated and turned into a spectator.
The war ends when one side has nobody left. If max-duration-seconds runs out first, the side with more
players alive wins and an even count is a draw. Everybody stays end-delay-seconds to see the result
before being sent back to where they were. With broadcast-result on, the whole server is told who won.
An administrator can end a war with /clanadmin war stop <clan>; a stopped war counts for nobody.
Spectators
/clan war spectate <clan>
/clan war leaveSpectators go to the arena's spectator spawn in spectator mode and are sent home with
/clan war leave. When the war was set to members only, players outside the two clans are refused.

wars.yml sits next to config.yml and is re-read by /clanadmin reload. The war's messages live in
the war and war-admin sections of messages.yml. The player war screens (war_hub, war_setup,
war_roster, war_requests, war_list) and the war messages ship in every language: en, es,
pt, fr, ru and tr.
Setting up arenas
Everything is under /clanadmin war, behind exyliaclans.admin.war. Typed with no arguments in game
it opens the war setup menu (arenas, kits and wars in progress), where all of the below can be done by
clicking.
| Command | Does |
|---|---|
/clanadmin war arena create <id> | Creates an arena |
/clanadmin war arena setspawn <id> <a|b> | Team spawn at your position (1 and 2 work too) |
/clanadmin war arena setspectator <id> | Spectator spawn at your position |
/clanadmin war arena setbounds <id> | Starts a two-corner selection; finishing it saves the schematic |
/clanadmin war arena saveschematic <id> | Saves the arena's current blocks as the state it is reset to |
/clanadmin war arena toggle <id> | Enables or disables it |
/clanadmin war arena tp <id> | Teleports you to it |
/clanadmin war arena info <id> | Opens its menu (prints it from the console) |
/clanadmin war arena list | Opens the arena list (prints it from the console) |
/clanadmin war arena delete <id> | Deletes it and its schematic |
An arena can only be enabled once it has both spawns, the spectator spawn and bounds; the refusal lists what is missing. An arena with a war in it cannot be deleted or re-saved. A random-arena war picks any enabled, free arena; with none free the war cannot be sent.
Kits
| Command | Does |
|---|---|
/clanadmin war kit create <id> | Opens an empty loadout editor; saving creates the kit |
/clanadmin war kit edit <id> | Opens the editor with the kit's items |
/clanadmin war kit icon <id> | Uses the item in your hand as the kit's icon |
/clanadmin war kit list | Opens the kit list (prints it from the console) |
/clanadmin war kit delete <id> | Deletes it |
The editor keeps armour, off hand, inventory and hotbar in place, and fighters receive the kit exactly as laid out.
