FAQ

The questions the defaults actually cause.

Nobody can use any command

Nothing is granted by default. Give exyliaclans.commands.* to the default group — see Permissions.

Claims are not protecting anything

claims.protection-mode ships as WORLDGUARD. If WorldGuard is not installed, no region is created and the built-in listener stands down, so the claim is drawn and paid for and protects nothing. Set it to BUILTIN, or install WorldGuard.

Check next that the owning clan is not raidable: a raidable clan's claim is open on purpose.

A member cannot break blocks in our own claim

Under BUILTIN that is the BUILD rank permission, which the shipped Member rank does not have. Tick it in /clan → Roles, or add it to default-roles for clans created from now on.

/clan sethome says I must be inside the claim

You must — while the claims module is on. Claim first, then set the home inside it. With modules.claims: false the home can be set anywhere.

We unclaimed and lost our home

That is deliberate: the home lives inside the claim, so removing the claim removes it. Both are written to the log.

/clan deposit says the economy is unavailable

There is no economy plugin ExyliaLib can read. Install one — the bank is what pays for land, so without it no claim can be bought either.

A clan cannot disband or unclaim

Both are refused unless the DTR state is NORMAL. A clan whose member has just died is FROZEN for ten minutes — leaving and being kicked cost nothing and freeze nothing, and a death in a no-loss-worlds world costs and freezes nothing either. /clanadmin disband bypasses the check.

We are stuck raidable

DTR regenerates regen-amount (0.1) every regen-interval-seconds (45 s) — but only while the clan is not frozen, and every death restarts the ten-minute freeze. A clan being farmed never leaves the freeze. Lower frozen-duration-seconds, raise regen-amount, or add the world to no-loss-worlds if deaths there should not count.

Deaths in the lobby cost us DTR

Add the world to dtr.no-loss-worlds. The lobby, the event world and any practice world belong there.

Typing . in chat sends to my clan

settings.chat.quick-clan-prefixes is ["."] and quick-ally-prefixes is ["@"]. Change them to something nobody starts a sentence with — c: and a: — or empty the lists to disable the shortcuts.

Players see MIEMBRO and NADA in TAB

Two of the four shipped relational labels are Spanish. Edit relational-placeholders.label-member and label-none in config.yml.

Invites never expire

They do not. invite-expire-seconds is read by the alliance request cache only; a /clan invite is a row in clan_invites that stands until it is accepted, declined, cancelled, or the player joins a clan.

Our alliance request vanished

Alliance requests live in memory with a 60-second expiry, and a restart drops the pending ones. The requesting clan is told when one times out.

We are allied but still hitting each other

Both clans need friendly fire on for allies to be protected — one is not enough. Check the world is not in settings.forced-ff-worlds, which overrides every clan's setting.

The rivals or regroup permission is missing from the roles menu

MANAGE_RIVALS and REGROUP have no toggle in menus/role_manage.yml. Grant them through default-roles, or add a button with exyliaclans:toggle_role_perm %role_id% MANAGE_RIVALS — see Roles.

Our clan lost a level

Deaths cost 5 EXP and going raidable costs 50, and the level is recomputed from the total. Members are never kicked for it; the clan just cannot recruit past the smaller cap until it climbs back.

The kills leaderboard is higher than the members' kills add up to

rivals.kill-stat-multiplier inflates the clan's recorded kill for a rival kill; the per-player row always records one. Set it to 1.0 to keep the two in step.

A scoreboard slot is blank

An online-roster slot with nobody in it resolves to nothing. Use the fallback syntax — %exyliaclans_clan_online_member_5|% — or check the console: a placeholder nothing answers is reported once by name.

/clan map shows nothing

Nothing is claimed within claims.map-radius (200 blocks). The command says so and names the radius. The map also switches itself off after two minutes.

/clanadmin reload recompiles every menu. If the file is still not read, the console names the part it could not make sense of — the rest of the screen opens without it.

I changed default-roles and existing clans did not change

They will not. default-roles describes a clan on the day it is created; after that its ranks are rows in clan_roles the clan itself edits.

Does it work on Folia?

Yes — folia-supported: true, and scheduling goes through ExyliaLib's Folia-aware scheduler.

Can I run it without packetevents?

No. It is a hard dependency, and the server will not enable the plugin without it.
