The plugin does not start

Check the console. If ExyliaLib, FastAsyncWorldEdit or packetevents is missing, the server disables ExyliaFFA and names it. All three are required.

The arena does not show in /ffa

An arena shows once it is enabled. To be playable it also needs a region, at least one spawn and at least one kit. The settings panel flags what is missing.

Players appear and are thrown out of the arena

The spawn sits outside the region. Stand inside the marked area and create the spawn again.

The arena does not regenerate

Check two things: that regenerationTime is greater than 0, and that the arena has a saved schematic. Without one, the cycle runs and does nothing.

%players% stopped working in my scoreboards

That is the bug fixed in version 1.0.6: the occupancy placeholder registered a global name so generic that it swallowed every %players% on the server. It is now %exyliaffa_arena_players_<arenaId>%, and scoreboards.yml is rewritten on update. If you have other plugins with %players% lines, they work again.

A placeholder shows verbatim on screen

Three causes, by frequency:

1. PlaceholderAPI is not installed.
2. The arena identifier is misspelled.
3. The requested position exceeds leaderboard.max-entries.

My messages show %prefix% literally

That happens when a message is sent from a file that does not go through the plugin's prefix. Every text in messages.yml does. After editing the prefix, run /ffaadmin reload.

Kills are not counting

Most likely the anti-farmkill: by default it refuses more than three kills on the same victim within two minutes, and any kill between two players on the same IP. Tune or disable the system in config.yml.

The kit does not refill after a kill

resetKitAfterKill is an arena setting, not a kit one. Turn it on in the arena's settings.

A player says the scoreboard does not show

They may have it off in /ffa settings. If nobody sees it, check scoreboards.yml: ffa.enabled set to false disables it server-wide and no personal setting can switch it back on.

Does it work on Folia?

Yes. The plugin declares Folia support, and per-arena tasks are anchored to the arena's location rather than to a global thread.

Can I share arenas between servers?

Yes: point every database.yml at the same MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL. Arenas, kits, spawns, statistics and settings live in the database, so they are shared. Note that schematic files live on each server's disk.

I changed database.yml and nothing happened

The database client is opened at boot. Restart the server; /ffaadmin reload does not replace it.
