leaderboard.max-entries in config.yml sets the highest position that can be queried. With the default of 50, asking for position 51 returns nothing.

When there is no answer

A placeholder with no answer returns empty, never a dash or a filler zero. That leaves the choice of fallback text to whoever writes it:
