Scoreboard

The in-arena sidebar: title, lines, refresh rate and placeholders.

The sidebar is defined in scoreboards.yml. It is only shown to players inside an arena, and every player can turn it off from /ffa settings.

The file

scoreboards.yml
scoreboards:
  ffa:
    enabled: true
    scoreboard:
      enabled: true
      title:
        - "{primary}&lFFA"
      lines:
        - ""
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}Arena: {highlight}%arena%"
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}Players: {success}%players%"
        - ""
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}Kills: {success}%kills%"
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}Deaths: {error}%deaths%"
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}KDR: {highlight}%kdr%"
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}Streak: {highlight}%streak%"
        - ""
        - " {muted}❙ {letters}Regen: {info}%regen%"
        - ""

      update:
        interval: 15
        smart: true
        cache: true
KeyDefaultWhat it does
ffa.enabledtrueMaster switch. On false, the plugin shows no sidebar.
scoreboard.enabledtrueLets you keep the section written but switched off.
titleone lineList of titles. With several, they animate: each refresh shows the next.
linessee aboveThe lines, top first. At most 15; extras are dropped.
update.interval15Ticks between refreshes. 20 ticks is one second.
update.smarttrueSends only the lines that changed instead of the whole board.
update.cachetrueRead and ignored: text caching is global and always on.

These session values are available inside the sidebar lines:

TokenWhat it shows
%arena%Name of the arena the player is in
%players%Players inside that arena
%kills%The player's kills in that arena
%deaths%Their deaths in that arena
%kdr%Their KDR
%streak%Their current streak
%regen%Time until the next regeneration

With PlaceholderAPI installed, placeholders from other plugins work too, alongside ExyliaFFA's own, described in Placeholders.

Colours

The tokens in braces are ExyliaLib's palette, defined in its own colors.yml: {primary}, {highlight}, {muted}, {letters}, {success}, {error}, {info}, {warning}. Changing the palette there recolours every plugin of the ecosystem at once.

Legacy codes (&a), hexadecimals (<#ff5c8a>) and full MiniMessage, gradients included, are also accepted.

Rendering

interval: 15 means a refresh every 0.75 s, which is smooth for a countdown. If your sidebar has no value changing every second, raising it to 20 or 40 cuts work with no visible difference.

With smart: true, a refresh that changes nothing sends no packets.
