Kits
Per-arena kits, hand-out modes, permissions, and the player's layout editor.
A kit belongs to an arena. It stores the full inventory, armour and offhand exactly as you had them when you saved it from the panel.
Fields
| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
id | generated | The kit's internal identifier. It is what /ffa resetkit <kitId> takes. |
arenaId | — | The arena it belongs to. Kits are not shared between arenas. |
name | — | Name shown in the selector. Accepts colours. |
iconMaterial | CHEST | Icon in the selection menu. |
permission | empty | Permission required to use it. Empty means available to everyone. |
priority | 0 | Order in the selector. Higher priority, higher up. |
Hand-out modes
The mode is decided by the arena, not by the kit.
With more than one kit available, the selector opens on entry. The player picks, and that is the kit they respawn with for the rest of the session.
The plugin hands out one at random among the kits the player has permission to use. Ideal for chaos arenas or to force variety.
If there is only one kit, no menu shows: it is handed over directly.
Layout editor
Every player can rearrange a kit to taste without changing its contents. The layout is theirs and is stored in the database.
Open the editor
/ffa kiteditor opens the selector of editable kits.
Rearrange
Move items to the slots you want. While editing you are invulnerable and cannot break or place blocks, drop or pick up items, interact or fire projectiles: the kit is only reordered, never changed in contents.
Save
/ffa savekit stores the arrangement. From then on, every time you receive that kit it arrives
ordered that way.
Discard
/ffa cancelkit leaves edit mode without saving. /ffa resetkit <kitId> deletes your layout and
returns to the original order.
/ffaadmin resetlayout <player> <kitId> deletes another player's saved layout. Useful when a kit
changes contents and the old layout no longer makes sense.
Permission-gated kits
A kit's permission field works like an arena's: empty and anyone uses it; set and only holders of
that node do.
In RANDOM mode, kits the player is not allowed to use do not enter their draw. That gives a
premium rank a wider spread of kits without needing a separate arena.
Refilling the kit after a kill
This is an arena setting, resetKitAfterKill. When on, killing refills the killer's kit to its
original state: same potions, same food, same durability.
In nodebuff arenas it pairs with healOnKill so that a clean kill leaves the winner at full again.
Without it, the first player to string two kills together dominates the arena by attrition.
