Frequently asked questions

Is ExyliaCasino free?

No. It is a premium plugin installed as a loader jar that checks the licence on every start. It is not sold on BuiltByBit: request your key on the Exylia Discord and put it in license_key in loader.yml. See Installation.

The plugin does not start

packetevents is a hard dependency: without it the server never loads the plugin. ExyliaLib 1.356.0 or newer is needed too; the loader installs it, or stages a newer one, and asks for a restart — restart once more. If the console reports a licence error, check the key in loader.yml.

"There is no currency you can bet with"

No economy is installed, or wager.currencies lists none the player may use. Install ExyliaEconomy, Vault with an economy plugin, or PlayerPoints, and check the ids in wager.currencies (empty offers every one).

Can players lose a stake to a crash or a restart?

No. Every stake is held by ExyliaLib's escrow before the round starts. On a normal stop every round is settled as it stands: a decided result is paid, a cash-out game is cashed out. On a crash, whatever was still held is refunded on the next start, and what cannot be handed over at once is delivered on the player's next join.

Are the odds real?

Yes. Every result is drawn with a secure random before any animation; the animation only shows it. Games with an rtp key are built to return exactly that on average, and the plugin's tests check the maths of every game. Blackjack and video poker show their rtp but their odds come from their rules and pay table, and depend on how the player plays. See Games.

Can I change a game's RTP?

In every game with an rtp key: Mines, Tower, Crash, Hi-Lo, Double or Nothing, Coinflip, Wheel of Fortune, Slots, Plinko, Scratch Card and Horse Race. Keno's comes from its pay table, Roulette's and Baccarat's from the rules of the game.

A player walked away and lost their round

A round left untouched for the game's idle time is treated as leaving, and a round under way is forfeited. Raise idle in that game's module file if your players need longer.

Players cannot use commands while they play

Only the game's own command and arena.allowed-commands work during a round. Add the ones they need there, without the slash.

The tables are too big, or cut at the edges

Lower screen.zoom to draw every board smaller. On a field of view under 90, lower screen.max-wide and screen.max-tall (95 and 65 fit every board at 70). See Configuration.

Does it work with ExyliaTabletop?

Yes. Both list their games on the same ExyliaLib games screen, and a player busy in one is busy in the other: someone in a casino round cannot be seated at a Tabletop match, and the other way round.

How do I open one game from my own menu or an NPC?

Use the menu action casino:play <game>, such as casino:play blackjack. It does what /blackjack typed alone does.
