Modules

Votes

Votes through NuVotifier: votes.yml, how a vote is paid once, vote streaks, reminders, the network vote party and its ExyliaMobs piñatas.

The votes module pays players for voting for the server. Votes arrive through NuVotifier (or the original Votifier), what they pay is in votes.yml, and the vote party is edited in game with /voteadmin (exyliarewards.votes.admin).

Without NuVotifier the module still runs: the console says so, and votes only arrive through /voteadmin fake <player> [service], which sends a test vote down the whole path, rewards and party included.

SectionWhat it is
sitesThe pages /vote lists: name, url and icon for each. Replace the URLs with your server's pages.
votePaid for every vote.
streaksPaid once when a player's streak of daily votes reaches exactly that many days. The bundled file has 3, 7 and 30.
partyPaid to everybody online on every server when the vote party starts. commands run once for the whole network, from the console of one server.

Every block takes rewards, an ExyliaLib reward list (see Rewards in ExyliaLib), and message, sent once the block is paid (empty for none). In messages: %player%, %rewards% (what was paid, named), %money% (the money in it), and for vote and streaks also %service%, %streak% and %total%. Commands in the list get the same values. A file from an older version with money: 30 in a block still pays it: it is read as a money entry at the head of the list.

The file is yours: what you change is never overwritten. Reload it with /rewardsadmin reload.

A vote, start to finish

  1. NuVotifier hands the vote to one server, which stores it. Every later copy of the same vote, however late (a lagging server, Votifier replaying its cache), is turned away for votes.remember-votes-days (default 14 days).
  2. Every server announces it on the Votes channel, which players can mute in /settings.
  3. The server its player is on pays it. A player who is offline is paid when they next join any server; a vote for a name that never joins is dropped after votes.pending-vote-days (default 30, 0 keeps it for ever).
  4. The vote counts towards the vote party, network-wide, offline players included.

Votes are matched to players by name, case aside. Everything they pay is boosted for the votes source and delivered by id.

Vote streaks

A vote on the day after the last one extends the streak; a day without a vote starts it over. Days are the plugin's clock days, so the streak turns at the same reset hour as every daily reward. A second vote on the same day pays vote again but leaves the streak where it is. A streak about to start over is kept by streak freezes, one per day missed, when the player has them.

Reminders

Players who have not voted today are reminded every votes.reminder-minutes (default 30, 0 never), and as they join when votes.remind-on-join is on. The reminder is a centred block with a clickable [➥ VOTE].

The vote party

Every vote on the network fills the party. When it reaches votes.party.target (default 50, 0 turns the party off):

  1. One server takes the party, decides what it does, and tells the network.
  2. Every server plays the countdown: a melody, a boss bar and a tick sound each second, for votes.party.countdown.seconds (default 10, 0 starts at once).
  3. Then, depending on votes.party.mode, every server pays its online players the party block (REWARDS), a piñata appears on one server (PINATA), or both (BOTH). The party.commands run once.

Along the way, every server announces how close the party is when the votes left reach a number of votes.party.milestones (default 10, 5 and 1). The progress bar shows for bossbar-seconds after each vote (bar-mode: AFTER_VOTE) or stays on screen for everybody (ALWAYS).

/voteadmin party starts the party being filled now, whatever its count.

A party set to send a piñata pays when it cannot

Without an enabled piñata whose mob can spawn, or without an enabled spawn point, a PINATA or BOTH party pays the rewards instead, and the console says why.

Piñatas

A piñata is an ExyliaMobs mob in hits mode: players hit it until it breaks. Its look, tricks, lifetime and reward lists (per hit, last hit and everyone who hit it) are the mob's own, edited in /mobsadmin; see ExyliaMobs. ExyliaRewards adds what belongs to the party:

SettingDefaultWhat it does
Mob—The ExyliaMobs mob it spawns as.
StatusenabledA disabled piñata is never sent.
Weight10How likely a party sends it against the other enabled piñatas.
Hitsthe mob'sIts mob's hits, plus per player online (5), up to a cap (300, 0 for none).

Spawn points are where a party's piñata may land, on any server of the network: stand there and Add one here. The server that takes the party picks the piñata and the point for everybody, and only the server the point belongs to spawns it. The network is told when one is on its way, when it appears, and who broke it, or that it wandered off when its lifetime ran out. While one stands, its chunk is held loaded and the players of that server see a boss bar with the hits left.

CommandDoes
/voteadmin pinata [id]Sends a piñata now, picked by weight or by ID, to one of this server's spawn points or where you stand.
/voteadmin pinata stopTakes every piñata on this server away, paying nothing.

The vote party editor

/voteadmin opens the party at a glance and a card for each part:

CardHolds
PartyTarget, party mode and milestones.
Countdown & barThe countdown's length and melody, the bar mode and how long it stays after a vote.
Party rewardsLeft-click edits the party rewards, right-click the commands. Both are written to votes.yml.
PiñatasEvery piñata, heaviest first, with its chance; create one from an ExyliaMobs mob, edit or delete it, open its mob in /mobsadmin, send one here, and the spawn points.
Start it nowAs /voteadmin party.
Remove the piñatasAs /voteadmin pinata stop, after asking.

The target, mode, milestones, countdown and bar are written back to config.yml under votes.party.

What players see

/vote (or /votes) lists the vote sites; clicking one sends its link in chat. Beside them, the player's votes today, total, streak and best streak, and the party's progress. The Votes card of /rewards opens the same screen.
