Staff tools
Browsing anybody's vaults, read only or to edit, online, offline or on another server; emptying one, its history and putting a copy back, and the audit log.
Staff reach anybody's vaults with /pvadmin (/playervaultsadmin). The player may be online here,
online on another server or offline, as long as this server has seen them before; names are suggested as
you type.
| Command | Permission | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/pvadmin list <player> | exyliaplayervaults.admin.view | Their vault list. |
/pvadmin view <player> <number> | exyliaplayervaults.admin.view | A vault as stored, read only. |
/pvadmin edit <player> <number> | exyliaplayervaults.admin.edit | A vault, to change it. |
/pvadmin history <player> <number> | exyliaplayervaults.admin.history | Its earlier copies. |
/pvadmin clear <player> <number> | exyliaplayervaults.admin.clear | Empties it, after a confirmation. |
Every one of these is for players, not the console. /pvadmin on its own prints the usage, and
/pvadmin reload is on Commands.
Somebody's list
/pvadmin list <player> opens the same screen the player sees, onto their vaults. Every number up to
max-amount — or up to the highest vault they have stored, when that is more — is drawn as open, because
staff are not limited by the owner's rank, and each one reads as a 54-slot vault.
What a click does depends on the staff member:
| Click | With admin.edit | With only admin.view |
|---|---|---|
| Left | Opens it to edit | Opens it read only |
| Right, shift-right | Renames it, changes its icon | Refused |
The header's bought count reads from memory, so it shows the right number only while the owner is online on this server.
Read only
/pvadmin view <player> <number> reads the vault straight from the database and shows it in a six-row
window titled view-title. Nothing can leave it: every click and drag is cancelled while it is on top,
the staff member's own inventory included, so not even a shift-click or a double-click collecting stacks
moves an item. It is a copy and is never written anywhere.
Because it takes no lock, it never disturbs whoever has the vault open. The flip side: a vault open right now shows as of its last write, at most a checkpoint (30 seconds) behind.
Editing
/pvadmin edit <player> <number> opens the vault in the same single window the owner would get, under
the same lock, always at six rows so stacks past the owner's rows are in sight. The number is not checked
against the owner's allowance, so staff can open, and fill, a vault the owner cannot reach yet.
When the vault is open somewhere:
- on this server, that window is written and closed, its viewer told "Vault
<number>was saved and closed because a member of staff is looking at it.", and the vault opens for staff half a second later; - on another server, that server is asked over Redis to write and close it. Staff are told "Vault
<number>was open on another server; it is being saved and closed." and it opens for them a few seconds later. Without Redis the request does not travel, and staff are told it is in use until its viewer closes it.
The staff window is not held to blocked-materials, and it is not closed by combat. Opening it is
recorded in the audit log as vault-open, and when it closes, what changed is recorded as vault-edit
with the stacks added and removed.
Emptying a vault
/pvadmin clear <player> <number> asks "Empty vault <number> of <player>?" and, on yes, empties
it. What it held is kept in its history first, so a clear can be undone. It is recorded as vault-clear.
A clear never runs while the vault is open: the window holding it is asked to close (here, or over Redis elsewhere) and staff are told it is being saved and closed. Run the command again a moment later.
History
Each vault keeps up to history.keep (10) earlier copies, newest first. A copy is what the vault held
before something changed it, filed under why:
| Cause | When |
|---|---|
CLOSED | The owner closed the vault after changing it. |
EDITED | Staff closed an edit window after changing it. |
CLEARED | Staff emptied it. |
RESTORED | Staff put an older copy back. |
A window closed without a change takes no copy, and an empty vault takes none on a clear or restore. Past
keep, the oldest copies are deleted; 0 keeps none.
/pvadmin history <player> <number> opens menus/admin/history.yml: one entry per copy with when it was
taken, how many stacks it held, the cause and who caused it.
- Left-click looks inside, in a read-only window titled
snapshot-title. - Shift-right-click puts that copy back, after the confirmation "Put vault
<number>of<player>back as it was<when>?" It needsexyliaplayervaults.admin.editas well asadmin.history, because putting a copy back can bring back what the owner has taken out since.
A restore runs like a clear: never while the vault is open, and what the vault held is itself kept as a
RESTORED copy, so a restore can be undone too. It is recorded as vault-restore.
The audit log
Staff actions and purchases go to ExyliaLib's audit log, read with /exylialib logs:
| Action | Recorded when |
|---|---|
vault-open | Staff open somebody else's vault to edit. |
vault-edit | That window closes changed, with what was added and removed. |
vault-view | Staff look at a vault read only. |
vault-clear | A vault is emptied. |
vault-restore | A copy is put back, with its date. |
vault-buy | A player buys a vault, with the price. |
vault-conflict | A window had to be settled after another server wrote its vault. See Network. |
Opening a list and looking inside a history copy are not recorded.
