Configuration
Every key of config.yml and of each module's config.yml with its default, plus the messages and menu files.
ExyliaWarzone keeps its settings in files, and every one of them is also editable in game: the Settings card of
/warzoneadmin (or /warzoneadmin settings) opens each file's keys in a menu, with a short explanation of each. What
you build (tiers, envoys, zones, chests, rooms) is not in these files: it is made in the editors and stored in the
database.
Apply a hand edit with /warzoneadmin reload. Switching a module on or off needs a restart.
config.yml
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/config.yml.
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
language | default | Language of the plugin's menus and messages. default follows the language set in ExyliaLib's config.yml; a code such as en or es sets this plugin alone. Each is a folder under lang/ you can edit. |
modules.supply-drops | true | Load the supply drops module. |
modules.powerups | true | Load the power-ups module. |
modules.loot-chests | true | Load the loot chests module. |
modules.regen-zones | true | Load the regen zones module. |
modules.duel-rooms | true | Load the duel rooms module. |
A module switched off registers no command and no screen. A module switched on whose required plugin is missing stays off and its hub card says which plugin it needs.
Supply drops
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/modules/supply-drops/config.yml. Tiers and envoys are not in this file: they are edited in
game with /supplydropsadmin and stored in the database. Times are seconds; 90s or 5m also work, and the file
writes them back as seconds. A tier or an envoy can override the three timings, see
Supply drops.
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
settings.announce-seconds | 60 | Seconds between the announcement and the landing. An envoy run is announced for at least 5. |
settings.unlock-seconds | 20 | Seconds a landed crate stays locked. |
settings.despawn-seconds | 300 | Seconds a crate stays after landing, locked time included, before it vanishes with what is left. At least 10. |
settings.view-radius | 160.0 | Blocks around the spot within which players see the beam, the fall and the other animations. |
settings.crate-block | BARREL | The block a crate lands as, unless its tier picks another. It must hold items (BARREL, CHEST...). |
settings.attempts | 20 | Columns tried inside an envoy's area for each crate before it gives up. |
settings.max-active | 16 | Most crates out at once on this server, falling and landed, envoys included. |
animation.marker | beam, ground ring, pulse, beacon sound | Plays at the spot from the announcement until the landing: the beam players run towards. |
animation.fall | four-ring canopy, cords, the crate, smoke | Plays so that it ends as the crate lands. Skipped when anything is within 12 blocks above the spot. |
animation.impact | anvil sound, canopy collapse, dirt burst, cloud | Plays as the crate lands. |
animation.unlock | door and orb sounds, ring pulse, burst in the tier's colour | Plays as the crate unlocks. |
animation.vanish | the crate shrinking away, break sound, cloud | Plays as the crate vanishes. |
The animation lists are ExyliaLib sequence lines ([DISPLAY], [CIRCLE], [SPHERE], [RING_PULSE], [PARTICLE],
[SOUND]), best edited from Animation in /supplydropsadmin. %glow% is the tier's colour, %parachute% its
canopy block, %crate% its crate block and %seconds% how long the marker lasts. The settings values are also
editable from the Settings button of /warzoneadmin; /warzoneadmin reload applies a hand edit.
Messages are in plugins/ExyliaWarzone/lang/<code>/modules/supply-drops/messages.yml: the announcements, the staff
replies, the menu state labels, the boss bar (bossbar: text, colour, overlay; an empty text hides it), the
hologram over a crate (hologram.locked and hologram.open) and the editor prompts (prompts). The screens are
lang/<code>/menus/admin/supplydrop_*.yml and envoy_*.yml, rewritten from the jar on every start.
Power-ups
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/modules/powerups/config.yml holds how every power-up looks and how close a player must come.
What each zone spawns, where and how often is set per zone in game (see Power-ups).
The module's messages, including the two hologram lines and the pickup message, are in
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/lang/<code>/modules/powerups/messages.yml.
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
settings.pickup-radius | 1.0 | How close, in blocks, a player's feet have to come to a power-up to take it. Never less than 1. |
settings.item-scale | 0.8 | Size of the floating item; 1 is a dropped item's size. |
settings.view-distance | 48.0 | Blocks from which the item and its hologram are drawn. |
settings.sound-radius | 24.0 | Blocks from which the spawn sound is heard. |
settings.hologram-enabled | true | Shows the name (and the time left, for a power-up that expires) above each one. |
settings.hologram-offset-y | 1.0 | Height of the hologram above the item, in blocks. |
settings.particle-enabled | true | Shows particles around each power-up, five times a second. |
settings.rotation-enabled | true | Spins the item. |
settings.rotation-speed-degrees | 90.0 | Degrees a second the item turns; 90 is a turn every 4 seconds. |
settings.particle-type | END_ROD | The particle, as a Bukkit particle name. An unknown name shows none. |
settings.particle-count | 3 | Particles in each burst. |
settings.particle-offset | 0.4 | How far, in blocks, the particles spread around the item. |
settings.particle-speed | 0.04 | Speed of the particles. |
settings.area-max-attempts | 20 | Random columns tried per spawn in Area mode before giving up until the next interval. |
sounds.spawn | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_CHIME|0.6|1.4 | Played to players within sound-radius when a power-up appears, as NAME|volume|pitch. Empty for none. The pickup sound is the tag at the start of the picked-up message. |
The module itself is switched by modules.powerups in config.yml (restart to apply). Every key here can also be
changed in game from /warzoneadmin settings; changes apply to power-ups spawned from then on, and particles change
at once.
Loot chests
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/modules/loot-chests/config.yml holds who may open a refilling chest, the hologram and the
refill sound. Templates, loot tables, cooldowns and fill modes are set per template and per chest in game (see
Loot chests). The module's messages, including the three hologram lines, the
state labels and the editor prompts, are in plugins/ExyliaWarzone/lang/<code>/modules/loot-chests/messages.yml.
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
settings.allow-open-on-cooldown | false | Lets everyone open a loot chest while it refills; it is empty then. Holders of exyliawarzone.lootchests.bypass always can. A disabled chest stays shut either way. |
settings.hologram-enabled | true | Shows a status hologram (ready, refill countdown, disabled) above each loot chest. Chests already standing follow a change after a restart. |
settings.hologram-offset-y | 1.5 | Height of the hologram, in blocks above the bottom of the chest block. Chests already standing follow a change after a restart. |
sounds.refill | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_CHIME|0.6|1.6 | Sound played to players within 10 blocks when a chest refills, as SOUND_NAME|VOLUME|PITCH. |
Regen zones
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/modules/regenzones/config.yml. The settings are only what a new zone starts
with: each zone keeps its own interval, idle delay and warning, edited on its screen in
/regenzonesadmin. Times can be written 30s, 5m or 1h30m; a bare number is seconds. Sounds are
NAME|volume|pitch, and a blank one plays nothing. See Regen zones.
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
settings.default-interval-seconds | 300 | How often a new zone regenerates in Fixed mode. |
settings.default-idle-delay-seconds | 60 | How long a new zone in Idle mode waits after the last block change. |
settings.default-warning-seconds | 10 | How long before a Fixed regeneration a new zone warns the players inside; 0 turns it off. |
sounds.regen | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_CHIME|0.6|1.4 | Played to the players inside a zone when it regenerates. |
sounds.warning | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_PLING|0.6|0.8 | Played to the players inside a Fixed zone when its warning starts. |
The module's messages are in plugins/ExyliaWarzone/lang/<code>/modules/regenzones/messages.yml. Its
visuals section holds the warning shown before a Fixed regeneration: regen-warning-title (a title
with %zone_name%, %time% and %seconds%) and regen-bossbar (a countdown boss bar with
%zone_name% and %time%). A boss bar with a blank text, or a title with a blank text and subtitle, is
not shown.
Duel rooms
plugins/ExyliaWarzone/modules/duel-rooms/config.yml. The first eight settings are what every room uses until
it sets its own under Timings & rules in /duelroomsadmin; a room that never set one follows the file, edits
included. The rest are server-wide. Times can be written 30s, 5m or 1h30m; a bare number is seconds. Sounds
are NAME|volume|pitch, played to that player only, and a blank one plays nothing. See
Duel rooms.
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
settings.countdown-seconds | 3 | Seconds between the room closing and the fight starting. Hits do nothing until then. Per room. |
settings.max-duration-seconds | 180 | Longest a fight may last before it stalls (see stalemate); 0 is no limit. Per room. |
settings.inactivity-seconds | 30 | How long a fight may go without anyone landing a hit before it stalls; 0 turns it off. Per room. |
settings.loot-seconds | 5 | How long the winner has to collect the loot before the room opens. Per room. |
settings.teleport-winner-out | true | Send the winner to the exit when the room opens. A draw always sends everyone out. Per room. |
settings.disable-flight | true | Take flight away from fighters for the length of the duel. Per room. |
settings.kill-on-leave | true | Kill a fighter who disconnects or gets out mid-fight, so their loot drops. Per room. |
settings.stalemate | DRAW | What a stalled fight becomes: DRAW, SUDDEN_DEATH or MOST_DAMAGE. Per room. |
settings.allowed-commands | [msg, tell, w, r, reply] | Commands a fighter may still use, without the slash. Every other one is blocked until the fight is decided. |
settings.broadcast-results | true | Announce every winner to the server. Players mute it in /settings. |
settings.max-border-blocks | 20000 | Most blocks a room's faces may have, checked when its region is selected. |
settings.draw-world-border | true | Draw a world border over the walls for the fighters. Only drawn; the blocks hold players in. Off saves client FPS. |
settings.win-reward-cooldown-seconds | 1800 | After a paid win, how long before the same two players can earn rewards and a counted win off each other again, either way round, on every server. 0 turns it off. |
settings.forfeit-grace-seconds | 30 | A fighter who disconnects or leaves within this many seconds of the fight starting hands the win over unpaid and uncounted. 0 turns it off. |
sounds.countdown | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_HAT|1.0|1.4 | Played every second of the countdown. |
sounds.start | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_PLING|0.8|2.0 | Played when the fight starts. |
sounds.victory | ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP|0.6|1.0 | Played to the winner. |
sounds.defeat | BLOCK_NOTE_BLOCK_BASS|0.7|0.7 | Played to the losers, and to everyone on a draw. |
sounds.expel | ENTITY_ENDERMAN_TELEPORT|1.0|1.0 | Played to a player sent out of a busy room. |
The module is switched by modules.duel-rooms (true) in the plugin's config.yml; a restart applies it. Its
messages are in plugins/ExyliaWarzone/lang/<code>/modules/duel-rooms/messages.yml. The visuals section holds
the titles (countdown-title, fight-title, victory-title, defeat-title, draw-title, inactive-title,
sudden-death-title) and boss bars (waiting-bossbar, fight-bossbar, loot-bossbar, sudden-death-bossbar),
each listing the placeholders it supports in its comment (%room_name%, %seconds%, %time_left%, %alive%,
%winner%, %losers% and others). A boss bar with a blank text, or a title with a blank text and subtitle, is
not shown.
Messages
| File | What it holds |
|---|---|
lang/<language>/messages.yml | The prefix and the lines every module shares: a disabled module, no permission, kept rewards delivered, the on/off labels the menus show, the flag editor's labels. |
lang/<language>/modules/<module>/messages.yml | Each module's chat lines, titles, boss bars, holograms and menu labels. |
Colours are palette tokens such as {primary}, {error} or {highlight}, so recolouring the server through
ExyliaLib never means editing these files. %prefix% is replaced by the prefix value. A line may open with an
effect tag that never reaches the screen: [sound:NAME|volume|pitch] plays a sound to the player who gets the line.
Menus
The admin screens live in lang/<language>/menus/admin/. They are written again from the jar on every start, so an
edit there does not survive a restart. The states and labels they fill in come from the messages files, which are kept.
