FAQ
Common questions about ExyliaWarzone: FastAsyncWorldEdit, envoys with no free spot, power-ups that do not appear, sharing between servers and more.
Do I need FastAsyncWorldEdit or WorldEdit?
No. Regen zones and duel rooms save and paste their schematics through ExyliaLib, which uses FastAsyncWorldEdit when
it is installed and its own built-in engine otherwise. Both read and write the same .schem files, so you can add or
remove FAWE later without saving anything again. FAWE is faster on big areas and keeps every detail of block
entities; see Regen zones for what the built-in engine leaves out.
Do I need WorldGuard?
No. Regen zones and duel rooms carry their own flags, applied by ExyliaLib. If you use WorldGuard or a claim plugin anyway, its rules still hold where they overlap.
An envoy always answers "No free spot found"
Check, in this order:
- The area's height. The two corners set the heights a crate can land at. If both were clicked on the same flat ground there is no room for a crate; select it again with one corner well above the ground.
- The ground. A spot needs solid ground (not bedrock) with two blocks of air above, outside every regen zone, duel room and ExyliaProtections claim.
- The limit. At most
max-activecrates (16) can be out on a server at once. - The envoy and its tiers. A disabled envoy, or one whose allowed tiers are all disabled, drops nothing.
A power-up zone shows nothing
Open the zone: its top card says Spawning: Ready, or names what is missing (no power-ups, no area, no spawn
points). A ready zone places its first power-up at once, then one per interval. In Area mode the area's chunks must be loaded. Make sure the zone is enabled and the module card
in /warzoneadmin reads Enabled.
Can players turn off the announcements?
Yes. Supply drop and duel announcements go through ExyliaLib's announcement channels: each player mutes them in
/settings without affecting anybody else. See Integrations.
My edits to the admin menus disappeared
The screens under lang/<language>/menus/admin/ are written again from the jar on every start, so their item names
and lore always come back as shipped. What the screens fill in (states such as enabled or disabled, module labels) and
every chat line come from the messages files, which are kept.
A builder with one module's permission cannot go back to the hub
The hub and its Back buttons need exyliawarzone.admin. Someone with only exyliawarzone.lootchests.admin, for
example, works from /lootchestsadmin directly.
Can several servers share what I build?
Point their database.yml at the same database. Supply drop tiers and loot chest templates are then shared; envoys,
power-up zones, loot chests, regen zones and duel rooms stay with the server that made them. Each server reads the
shared tiers and templates when it starts, so an edit made on one server reaches the others on their next restart.
Why can I build inside a zone that denies building?
Players in creative mode are never held by region flags, so staff can work on an area as it is. Switch to survival to test the rules.
Is there an API?
There is no service to call, but duel rooms fire DuelRoomEndEvent from ExyliaLib's public API whenever a duel is
decided. See API.
