Collect and notices

How items and money reach a player who is busy, away or on another server: /collect, the join summary, toasts, labels and the countdowns.

Most deals finish while somebody is elsewhere: a listing sells overnight, an auction ends while the winner is on another server, a box does not fit. Nothing the market owes a player is ever dropped on the floor.

Where things go

WhoItemsMoney
Online on this server, with roomInto the inventory. To the balance.
Online, inventory fullWhat fits, the rest to /collect.To the balance.
Dead, leaving, offline or on another serverAll to /collect.To the balance, by id.

Money always goes straight to the balance. Two things keep their items elsewhere:

  • Buy orders keep delivered items on the order; /collect lists them too.
  • Bazaar buy orders that fill put their items in /collect directly.

A shop purchase that does not all fit asks first, and a shop gift lands in the recipient's inventory or /collect like any other delivery. See Shop.

On a network split into groups, /collect holds what is owed in this server's deliveries group: what a player won on survival is collected on survival.

/collect

/collect opens one screen of everything waiting: each delivery — an expired listing, a won auction, what did not fit, a gift, a sell wand from staff — and every buy order with items ready. It needs no permission.

  • Click a delivery to claim it, or Claim all, oldest first.
  • A claim takes only what fits. What does not stays as one delivery, never split or dropped.
  • Each delivery shows how long it has waited and, for an order, where its items came from.

Nothing is handed over on join any more. A player is told on join how many deliveries wait, and claims them when they have room.

Notices

A player is told about their own deals wherever they are: at once on this server, on the server they are on in a network, or on their next join, exactly once.

Missed notices are not replayed line by line. On join they are summed up in one line that opens /collect — "sold 3 listings for $45k · 1 order filled" — followed by how many deliveries wait. The parts and their words are in messages.yml under notices.

These are not the announcement channels: muting the auction house or auctions in /settings silences other people's deals, never a player's own.

Feedback

Each is switched under feedback in config.yml and worded under feedback in messages.yml.
