Buy orders

The auction house the other way round: asking for an amount of an item and paying up front, material orders and exact orders, filling, collecting, expiry and the settings.

A buy order asks for an amount of an item at a price per unit, and the buyer pays for all of it when the order goes up. Anybody may sell into it — online or not, the buyer does not have to be there — and is paid at once. What sellers deliver waits on the order until the buyer collects it.

Module id orders, file modules/orders/config.yml, command /orders (also /order).

Placing an order

There are two ways in, and they make two kinds of order.

FromOrderWhat it accepts
New order on the boardA material order, for any item picked from a searchable list of every itemAny plain item of that material: not renamed, no lore, no enchantments, no custom model, not damaged, holding nothing.
In your hand in that same list, or /orders create <amount> <price> [currency]An exact orderOnly items identical to the one held, enchantments and name included.

The board's flow asks for the item, then the amount, then the currency (skipped when the server has only one), then the price per unit. /orders create takes the same values typed, with <price> per unit: /orders create 500 3 orders 500 of what you hold at 3 each. Without a currency typed and more than one to choose from, a picker opens.

Both end on the review screen: the item and how it is matched, amount, price each and whole price, the creation fee, the total charged, the seller tax, your balance before and after. Amount and price can be changed there, and a market price button sets the price to the 7-day average of that item. Nothing is charged until Confirm; a price far above the market asks once more first. See Prices.

What is checked

  • The item is not in blocked-materials, is not damaged unless allow-damaged-items, and is not heavier than max-item-kilobytes.
  • The amount is between 1 and max-amount (2304 by default, 36 stacks).
  • The price per unit is at least the currency's smallest amount. In the default currency the whole price must also be between min-price and max-price; other currencies have no bounds.
  • The player has fewer open orders than their limit: max-orders-per-player, or their exyliamarket.orders.limit.<n>.

On confirm the whole price plus creation-fee-percent of it is taken. The fee is never refunded: it is what stops orders being used as free storage for money.

Accepting more than plain items

material-orders-accept lets a material order take items that would otherwise not count as plain. List any of NAME, LORE, ENCHANTMENTS, CUSTOM_MODEL_DATA:

modules/orders/config.yml
settings:
  material-orders-accept:
  - NAME
The buyer always receives plain items

A material order delivers plain copies of its material, whatever the seller handed in. With ENCHANTMENTS accepted, an enchanted item sold into the order loses its enchantments on the way.

Filling an order

Click an order on the board to open its fill screen: what it wants, how many you carry that match, how many will sell (the smaller of what you carry and what is still wanted) and what you will be paid after tax. Confirm sells every matching item in your storage and hotbar slots, up to what the order still needs; there is no picking a smaller amount.

The seller is paid at once: a proportional share of what the buyer put up, minus sales-tax-percent. You cannot fill your own order unless allow-self-fill is on. Filling needs exyliamarket.orders.fill.

The buyer is told on whichever server they are, or on their next join, and sees a toast when the order is filled and again when it is complete. See Collect and notices.

Collecting, cancelling and expiry

Delivered items wait on the order, not in the general inbox. Left-click it in /orders mine to take what fits in your inventory; /collect lists every order with items waiting too. An order that is finished and empty disappears.

An expired order stops taking fills at once; the sweep that refunds it runs every minute.

The board

Sorted by Best paid (unit price, highest first), Newest or Most wanted (units still needed), cycled with the sort button. The search matches the material, the buyer's name or the item's name; right-click clears it. Every screen updates while it is open.

Staff

/ordersadmin (also /ordersa) lists every open order, newest first. Left-click cancels one after a confirmation; right-click opens the buyer's market log. /ordersadmin cancel <id> does the same by id. Both need exyliamarket.orders.admin.

Settings

All under settings: in modules/orders/config.yml, and editable in game from /marketadmin.
