Kit balance
How every kit is judged by its K/D against the others, the Balance screen, suggested weights, the automatic cycle and every key of balance.yml.
Kit balance looks at how every kit actually does. Each kit's K/D over a rolling window is compared with the pooled K/D of every kit: a kit far above the middle is overpowered, far below underpowered. For each one it suggests the weight one step towards the middle, to apply by hand or on a timer.
Kills, deaths, rolls and how long each life lasted are counted per kit and per day. Every server of a network group adds to the same numbers.
The Balance screen
/rkadmin → Balance lists every kit, best performing first, the ones without enough fights last.
| Line | What it shows |
|---|---|
| K/D | The kit's K/D, and how far it is from the middle (1 is the middle). |
| Average life | How long a life with this kit lasts. |
| Fights, Rolls | Kills plus deaths, and how often it was rolled, in the window. |
| Verdict | Overpowered, underpowered, balanced, or not judged yet. |
| Weight | Its weight now, and its base. |
| Suggested | The weight one step towards the middle. |
- Left-click applies the suggestion.
- Right-click resets the kit's numbers, after a confirmation: its days are deleted on every server of the group.
How it judges, at the bottom, shows the window, the step, the bounds, whether the automatic cycle is on and how often it runs.
Weights and their base
A kit's base is the weight an admin gave it. Suggested weights never leave min-factor..max-factor
times the base, so a kit can never be balanced out of the game or into every roll. Setting a weight by hand
(the kit screen, /rkadmin kit weight, the web editor or an import that replaces the kit) makes that the new
base and restarts the kit's numbers. A kit weighted 0 is off on purpose and stays so.
The automatic cycle
With auto: true, every interval one server of the group moves every judged kit's weight one step towards
the middle. Every change is written to the staff audit log (/exylialib logs).
balance.yml
| Key | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
auto | false | Moves the weights on its own every interval. |
interval | 6h | Time between two automatic cycles; at least one minute. |
window | 7 days | How far back the numbers go, in whole days. |
min-sample | 200 | Kills plus deaths a kit needs in the window before it is judged. |
tolerance | 0.15 | How far from the middle still counts as balanced: 15%. |
step | 0.1 | The share a weight moves per cycle: 10%. At most 0.9. |
min-factor | 0.5 | The lowest weight, as a share of the base. |
max-factor | 2.0 | The highest weight, as a share of the base. |
refresh | 5m | How often the numbers are read again for the screen; at least 30 seconds. |
Only arena fights are counted. Random kit duels in ExyliaDuels never move these numbers, even with
duels.count-stats on, which only feeds kit stats and mastery. See
Network and ExyliaDuels.
