Frequently asked questions
The questions that come up most.
Is ExyliaSpawners free?
No. It is a premium plugin, bought on BuiltByBit and installed as a loader jar that checks the licence on every start. Bought on BuiltByBit, the licence is embedded in that jar: there is no key to enter. See Installation.
My spawner stopped producing
Look at the hub's header:
- Waiting for a player: nobody is within 16 blocks (
production.activation-range). Spectators do not count. - Corrupted, with the halt effect: it is waiting to be cleansed. Hold crouch next to it. See Corruption.
- The storage is full: whatever a cycle makes that does not fit is lost. Take, sell, or upgrade the storage track.
- The type was disabled or removed from
types.yml: its spawners stay but produce nothing.
Why did my spawner corrupt?
Corruption is on by default. A spawner corrupts after a random 3 to 12 hours of running time depending on its tier,
counted only while a player is near it. Cleansing protects it for 30 minutes. To switch it off, set
corruption.enabled: false, or effect: NONE for the tiers you want spared.
I cannot mine the spawner
- A pickaxe with Silk Touch is needed (
mining.tools,mining.require-silk-touch). - The last spawner of a stack cannot be mined while its storage holds items or experience: empty it first. The hub's Pick up spawner has the same rule.
- Only the owner, trusted players and staff can mine it, and the claim must allow breaking.
The spawner I mined disappeared
With mining.chance below 100, a failed roll destroys it ("The spawner shattered"). With the default 100, look in
your inventory: mined spawners go there, not on the ground (mining.to-inventory).
Somebody sold my spawner's storage
Only you, your trusted players and staff can open it, and the money of every sale goes to you, whoever sells. Check
the trust list on the hub, and /exylialib logs <player> ExyliaSpawners for who did what.
Does a trusted player get the money when they sell?
No. Sales always pay the spawner's owner, also from a trusted player, a sell wand or autosell. The receipt goes to whoever sold.
/spawners sell says I have no permission
It needs exyliaspawners.remote, which nobody has by default, as does selling with a click in /spawners. Selling
from the spawner's own screen needs no extra permission.
Autosell does not sell
It sells every selling.autosell-interval (one minute), only while the owner is online on that server, holds
exyliaspawners.autosell, and the items have a price. Items nobody quotes stay in the storage.
Items do not sell
Storage sells at the prices ExyliaLib's price registry quotes, from ExyliaMarket's worth list or shop, or another plugin that provides prices. An item without a price stays in the storage.
A player placed a copied spawner
They cannot: every spawner item has a unique id, spent once. A copy is refused, the player is told, and the attempt
is logged as spawner-item-rejected with the item's id.
Will my upgrades survive mining the spawner?
Only while spawners stay on the block. Upgrade levels belong to the stack; mining or picking up the last spawner loses them.
I removed SmartSpawner, WildStacker or another plugin. Can I keep the spawners?
Import them before removing the old plugin's files: /spawnersadmin import <source> -dry, then without -dry. See
Importing.
Does it run with ExyliaSurvivalCore?
Yes. ExyliaSurvivalCore turns its own spawner stacking and item spawners off when ExyliaSpawners is installed. See Integrations.
What happens when a player is reset?
When ExyliaLib's player reset deletes a player's spawners from the database, those spawner blocks are taken out of the world too, so they cannot be written back or picked up later. A reset that keeps them leaves them.
